Chief Technology Officer
Leo is a systems engineer with a background in building and operating large-scale infrastructure. He spent several years at Google working on reliability engineering across core products, where his teams were responsible for the stability and performance of systems used by hundreds of millions of people. He then moved to Stripe, where he led the redesign of the payments orchestration layer across multiple regions, with a particular focus on fault tolerance and operational simplicity at scale.
His interest in enterprise work came from watching well-funded organisations struggle with problems that well-designed infrastructure could solve. He joined NexGen to work on exactly that: closing the gap between what enterprise AI and cloud programmes promise in theory and what they actually deliver in production. He leads NexGen's engineering function and is directly involved in the technical design of the firm's most complex client engagements.
Leo holds Masters degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT. He serves on the programme committee of NSDI, publishes occasionally on distributed systems and fault tolerance, and has spoken at several industry conferences on the practical challenges of deploying AI at enterprise scale.
